Bespoke ink and envelopes designed to match this ‘Life is Beautiful’-themed wedding invitation.
This Life is Beautiful wedding was a so much fun to work on. Firstly, I love giving the gift of wedding calligraphy. It adds a very personal finishing touch to all of the couple’s efforts. Secondly, it was my best friend, Fi, and her now-husband, Nick, who were getting married.

With a strong movie quote to guide creative choices, I brought to life a night sky on their envelopes and added a touch of moonlight to their invitations and place card.
The colour scheme was an elegant navy and grey, so for the invitations and place cards, I worked to create a special wedding ink blend using Daler & Rowney Calli blue and Winsor & Newton silver. For the envelopes, I created a wistful universe design to coordinate with the theme. I used a mixture of scripts: copperplate for the invitations, and modern styles for the place cards and envelopes.
